Laser Beasts

The fourth and final series in the Beastformers lineup, Laser Beasts were produced by Takara/Hasbro between 1987 and 1988, and were released through 1989. There are thirty-six Laser Beasts in total and the series can be divided into three subcategories: Lower Twelve (77-88), Middle Twelve (89-100), and Upper Twelve (101-112).

 

All thirty-six figures were released in Japan. Lower Twelve figures were distributed in Japan, North America, and several European countries, making them the most ubiquitous. The Middle Twelve were available in Japan, France, and limited European countries. Finally, the Upper Twelve figures were exclusive to Japan, and are therefore the rarest and most valuable.
